1.Who we are
Voryn Connect ("Voryn Connect", "we", "us", "our") operates a technology platform based in Portmore, St. Catherine, Jamaica. In these terms, "you" means any person who accesses or uses the Voryn Connect mobile app, website, wallet or related services (together, the "Platform"). If you use the Platform on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business to these terms.
3.Eligibility & accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- You must register with accurate, current information and keep it up to date. Accounts are personal to you and may not be shared, sold or transferred.
- You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Keep your password, PIN and sign-in codes private. Voryn Connect staff will never ask for your password or wallet PIN.
- Tell us immediately at info@vorynconnect.com if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
- We may decline, suspend or close accounts to protect the Platform, our users or Providers, including where we suspect fraud, abuse or breach of these terms.
4.Orders & deliveries
- Menus, product listings, prices and availability are set by Providers and can change without notice. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay.
- When you place an order, you make an offer to buy from the Provider. The contract for the goods forms when the Provider accepts the order.
- Delivery and preparation times shown in the app are estimates. They depend on traffic, weather, distance and Provider workload, and are not guaranteed.
- Delivery fees are calculated by distance and shown before you confirm. You must provide a safe, accurate delivery address. Orders may be limited to our supported delivery zones.
- You are responsible for being available to receive your delivery. If you are unreachable, the courier will follow our undeliverable order process and you may still be charged.
- Some items (for example alcohol or pharmacy products) carry legal restrictions. You must meet all legal requirements to buy them, and the Provider or courier may decline delivery where the law requires, including where identification cannot be shown.
5.Rides
- Rides requested on the Platform are provided by independent third-party drivers, not by Voryn Connect.
- Fare estimates are shown before you book. The fare is confirmed at booking based on the route, distance and category you select. Additional charges may apply for changed destinations or waiting time.
- Pickup times and driver availability are estimates and depend on drivers near you.
- You must treat drivers with respect, wear seat belts, and never ask a driver to break traffic laws.
- Live GPS tracking is available during your trip. Use the in-app tools if something goes wrong. In an emergency, always contact the Jamaica emergency services first (Police 119, Fire and Ambulance 110).
6.Vehicle rentals
- Rental vehicles are owned and operated by independent rental Providers. The rental agreement is between you and the operator.
- You must hold a valid driver's licence appropriate for the vehicle and meet the operator's rental requirements, including any minimum age.
- Deposits, fuel policy, mileage limits, insurance conditions, late fees and damage responsibility are set by the operator and shown before you book. Read them before confirming.
- You are responsible for the vehicle during your rental period, for returning it on time in the condition received, and for all traffic violations and fines incurred while it is in your care.
7.Home, auto & technician services
- Service bookings (car wash, repairs, plumbing, electrical, appliance and device repair, cleaning and similar) are performed by independent Providers.
- Quotes and packages describe the expected scope. If the Provider finds additional work is needed, agree any changes and pricing with the Provider before work continues.
- For mobile services, you must provide safe, lawful access to the service location. An adult (18 or older) must be present.
- Any workmanship guarantee is offered by the Provider. Voryn Connect can help you raise an issue with a Provider through support, but the responsibility for the work rests with the Provider.
8.Pricing, fees & payments
- All prices on the Platform are in Jamaican Dollars (JMD) unless stated otherwise.
- In addition to the Provider's prices, the Platform may charge service fees, delivery fees and other fees. Every fee is shown at checkout before you confirm.
- Supported payment methods currently include the Voryn Wallet and cash on delivery, with card payments where available. Available methods are shown at checkout.
- Tips are voluntary and go to the driver or courier.
- For cash payments, you agree to pay the full amount shown in the app on delivery or completion. Repeated failure to pay for confirmed orders may lead to account suspension.
- We may correct obvious pricing errors. If a clearly incorrect price was charged due to a technical fault, we may cancel and refund the transaction.
9.The Voryn Wallet
- The Voryn Wallet is a prepaid, stored-value feature you can use to pay on the Platform, send money to other Voryn Connect users, and receive refunds and payouts.
- The wallet is not a bank account or an insured deposit. Balances do not earn interest.
- Wallet transactions are protected by your account credentials and, where enabled, your wallet PIN. Keep them private: transactions made with your credentials are treated as made by you.
- Top-ups, transfers and withdrawals may be subject to limits, verification checks and processing times, which we apply to protect users and comply with the law.
- We may suspend wallet functionality or freeze a balance where we reasonably suspect fraud, money laundering or another breach of these terms or the law, and we may report activity to authorities where required.
- Balances are redeemable within the Platform and withdrawable under our policies. Wallet history in the app is the record of your transactions; report any discrepancy to support promptly.
10.Cancellations & refunds
- You may cancel an order, booking or ride within the windows shown in the app. Once a Provider has begun preparing an order, a driver is en route, or work has started, cancellation may no longer be free or possible.
- Where a refund is due, it is normally returned to your Voryn Wallet. Refund timing depends on the payment method used.
- If something is wrong with an order or service (missing items, wrong items, unacceptable quality), report it through the app or to info@vorynconnect.com as soon as possible, ideally within 48 hours, with photos where relevant. We will review the issue with the Provider and apply our refund policies fairly.
- Refund decisions take into account evidence from you, the Provider and the courier or driver, plus Platform data such as GPS and timestamps.
- Nothing in this section limits any rights you have under the consumer protection laws of Jamaica.
11.Promotions, points & rewards
- Promo codes, discounts and rewards points are offered at our discretion and may carry their own conditions, expiry dates and usage limits.
- Points and promotional credit have no cash value, cannot be sold or transferred, and can be adjusted or cancelled if obtained or used fraudulently.
- We may modify or end any rewards program. Where we do, we will give reasonable notice in the app.
12.Partner terms
Businesses and individuals who sell or fulfil through the Platform agree to additional partner terms during onboarding. In summary, Providers are responsible for:
- the accuracy of their listings, menus, pricing and availability;
- the quality, safety and legality of their goods and services, including food safety, licensing and permits for regulated categories;
- completing verification honestly and keeping their business information and documents current;
- complying with all applicable laws, including tax obligations on their earnings.
Voryn Connect may remove listings, withhold payouts connected to suspected fraud, or suspend Provider accounts to protect users and the Platform.
13.Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law or ask any Provider, driver or courier to break the law;
- harass, threaten, discriminate against or abuse other users, Providers, drivers, couriers or our staff;
- place fraudulent orders, make false damage or refund claims, or abuse promotions, referrals or rewards;
- use another person's account or let someone else use yours;
- interfere with the Platform's security, probe or scan our systems, scrape data, reverse engineer the app, or access data or tools that do not belong to your role;
- use the Platform to send spam or to transport or sell illegal or dangerous items.
We may investigate suspected violations and take any action we consider appropriate, including warnings, restrictions, suspension, permanent account closure and reporting to law enforcement.
14.Ratings, reviews & content you submit
- Ratings and reviews must reflect your genuine experience. Fake, paid-for or retaliatory reviews are not allowed.
- By submitting content (reviews, photos, feedback), you give Voryn Connect a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display and share it on the Platform and in our marketing, with your first name or username.
- We may remove content that is unlawful, offensive, misleading or violates these terms.
15.Intellectual property
The Voryn Connect name, logo, app, website, design and software are owned by Voryn Connect and protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the app and website for their intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or lease any part of the Platform, or use our brand without written permission.
16.Third-party services
The Platform uses third-party services such as mapping and routing, email delivery, cloud hosting and payment infrastructure. Those services are governed by their own terms, and their temporary unavailability can affect Platform features. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience and do not mean we endorse them.
17.Disclaimers
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that any Provider will accept, complete or perform any particular order, ride, rental or booking. Goods and services obtained through the Platform are provided by independent Providers, and any warranty in relation to them comes from the Provider, not from Voryn Connect.
18.Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of Jamaica:
- Voryn Connect is not liable for the acts, omissions, goods or services of any independent Provider, driver, courier or rental operator;
- we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill;
- our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Platform is limited to the greater of (a) the total fees you paid to Voryn Connect (excluding amounts passed to Providers) in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, and (b) ten thousand Jamaican Dollars (JMD 10,000).
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including any non-excludable rights you have under Jamaican consumer protection law.
19.Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Voryn Connect, its directors, employees and agents harmless from claims, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the Platform, your violation of any law, or your infringement of any third party's rights.
20.Suspension & termination
- You can stop using the Platform at any time and may request account deletion in the app or by emailing info@vorynconnect.com.
- We may suspend or terminate your access where you breach these terms, where required by law, or where necessary to protect the Platform and its users. Where reasonable, we will tell you why.
- Termination does not affect amounts you owe, and sections that by their nature should survive (including sections 14, 15, 18, 19 and 21) survive termination.
- If your account is closed with a remaining wallet balance, we will make the balance available to you in accordance with our wallet policies and applicable law, less any amounts you owe.
21.Disputes & governing law
- If you have a problem, contact us first at info@vorynconnect.com or through in-app support. Most issues are resolved quickly through our support process.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica.
- Any dispute that cannot be resolved through support will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jamaica.
22.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Platform evolves. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by other reasonable means before they take effect. The "Effective date" above always shows the current version. Continuing to use the Platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Platform and close your account.
